I really like this place, not because it's a short walk from my home, but because I've always had great service here. The food isn't the best, but it's enough to keep me coming back for an occasional dinner. I highly recommend the duck, tofu in XO sauce, and Chinese broccoli. The hotpots are decent, but some memorable dishes from this place would be the Szechuan Chicken and Mongolian Beef. |

Outside Tokyo House in Pacific Beach, on the corner of Cass and Garnet. This is the place where you go for a "quick" meal or (call in and) take-away. It's not a place to go to for a great dining experience , but other than that this place is pretty decent. Portion sizes are good, sushi is consistently OK, friendly staff, good menu deals when it's happy hour (4-7 PM) and their special rolls are good. |

If you're looking for good Filipino food, this is the spot. The Sampler Platter is a favorite of my family: fried bulaklak, fried pusit, fried lumpia, fried chicken...notice the fried trend? Unhealthy yes, but it's lip-smackin' good! Crispy Pata and Kare-Kare are good too so give those a try. |
